Will you sell memberships?
We are not membership based or a club. All services are `a la carte with some package deals for multiple use.
Are you a dog park or a dog day care?
Enhancing the human/animal bond through controlled activities and games is our focus. There may be some opportunities for well-socialized dogs to play together, however WE ARE NOT A DOG PARK. We will have some drop-off programs to accommodate working and travel but these programs will focus on human dog interaction and learning..
I am not interested in swimming will you have other activities?
Land and water based activities will be available. We will have a maze that you and your dog can use and many other fun activities.
Will you require vaccines?
Rabies vaccine and vaccine for DHLP or proof of titers will be required. If you do not vaccinate for Bordetella you will be required to sign a waiver.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered to come to Lap it Up?
You may rent the pool privately or training area, and participate in any classes or practice sessions with your intact dog. All dogs must be neutered to swim in a group swimming session. No female dogs in heat are allowed on the grounds.
What kind of collars and leashes can my dog use?
Inside our facility, dogs are only allowed to wear a flat buckle collar for their safety and others. We will have extra collars hanging at the door!
No Flexi Leads are allowed on the grounds or in the building. We will also have some spare leashes at the door.
Can I bring toys and treats?
For group swimming you may bring your own toys but no treats. If any issues come up you will be asked to put the toy away. For any practice activity or private rental you may bring your own toys and treats (including in the pool area). Your class instructor will direct you regarding toys and treats in classes.
What if I have multiple dogs?
You may bring multiple dogs into the facility and we will have crates available. We will require you have leash control over your dogs at all times unless you are renting an area for private use. Only 2 dogs are allowed per owner at one time in the pool area during group swim time. Crates will be available.

How does the pool work?
- • Group swimming time will be set aside on a daily basis, posted online and no appointment is necessary
- • We will limit the number of dogs in the pool area at one time during group time
- • You must have a well socialized dog that plays well with other dogs
- • You must have attended the orientation
- • You will be able to schedule private time (via the schedule page or by calling) in 15 min increments
- • You may bring your own toys. Pool rental is per family and can include up to 5 dogs in your household
- • You may rent the pool area with a group of friends; pricing will be for party or group
My dog likes the water but is a bit uneasy with swimming.
Life vests will be available for rent during group swims and are included in the price of a private swim, and towels are available for rent with group swim.
Can I swim with my dog?
Health department regulations require that only dogs are allowed in the pool. For swimming lessons a trainer or coach may be allowed to assist the dog when necessary.
I have an older puppy or small, dog will you have separate areas in the pool?
The pool area has restrictions on the number of dogs and the focus is about swimming not playing with dogs so dogs of all kinds should do well. We may from time to time set-aside group times that focus on a group of dogs like small dogs, older dogs or puppies. Times will be clearly posted on the schedule.
Do you have any breed restrictions?
No, all dogs are welcome as long as they are accompanied by responsible attentive owners.
